My Number 1 Content Creation Time-Saving Tip – Repurposing
We all know that content creation is important, it’s the gateway through which us online solopreneurs reach our dream clients. The problem many solopreneurs find is that creating consistent content takes time and when you have so many other tasks on the go, content creation can slip down your to-do list. But being visible is vitally important to building your brand, getting engagement, generating leads and making sure your business is front of mind when you dream clients are ready to but
There is one amazingly efficient way to make the content you create go further, saving you heaps of time and energy, but ensuring you are everywhere you need to be and that is content repurposing.
What is Content Repurposing?
Content repurposing is where you take one lead piece of content and turn it into multiple pieces that you can use in other places, over the course of a week and beyond. What’s more, if that content is evergreen, not time specific and something that is always relevant, then you can reuse it again and again as you start to build up a content library, which is an invaluable resource to any small business owner strapped of time.
Having a library of content that you can draw upon is a brilliant way of freeing up time for you in your business, but also ensuring that your brand is consistently visible, even in the weeks you are too busy to create new content or want to take some time off. When you have consistent marketing, you get consistent leads.
How to select your lead content of choice
Repurposing content is easy to do. Begin by creating one lead piece of content per week, for example, a video, blog post, or podcast. It is best to choose the form of communication that you’re most comfortable with, as this makes the creative process so much easier and enjoyable for you. You can also batch create these, so put some time aside and do several pieces in one go, whilst you are in the right frame of mind and energy for it, you’ll then have enough pieces for the month.
How to turn one piece of content into multiple pieces
Once you have your lead piece, you can then create multiple other pieces of content from it.
If you make a video, you could:
- Transcribe it and turn it into a blog post to use on your website or other blogging platforms.
- Post as a Linkedin Article.
- Split into multiple social media posts to use across the week.
- Create graphics of the key points or quotes in Canva
- Pin to Pinterest.
- Use as a Google My Business post. This is a brilliant tool, which many people forget about, it’s fantastic for organic reach to your website.
- Send out as an email to your audience, pulling out the best tips/bits from the lead content, or a snippet of the video which will grab their attention and signpost them back to your website.
- Start your own YouTube channel for even more reach.
Just by creating that first initial piece you can create so many different types of content that you can use in many ways! And it works for blogs and podcasts too.
If that sounds appealing, here’s how we can help.
Let us handle your Content Repurposing
Repurposing content is part of what we offer at Lovable Media. I work with you to create a strategy for content creation and make sure that your lead content is in a format you’re comfortable with, whether it’s going to be a blog, a podcast, a video, or a live. Then we work together to look at what your objectives are so that the content you’re creating is in line with the products or services that you’re promoting that month. We then give you a brief of what to cover.
You will then feel confident and clear about what you need to do and the points you need to cover, in whatever form is most comfortable to you, then hand it back to us.
We do the rest! This means that your input could be as little as ten minutes of content creation per week!
Imagine how it would feel to get your content creation sorted so easily, how much time you would save, how much head space it would free up, how it would stop procrastination and overwhelm and all of those things that currently hold you back.
Imagine how good it will feel knowing you are consistently visible, with minimal input and effort from you, for your dream clients to find.
If that sounds appealing to you, if you are struggling to find the time to create consistent content, and therefore not getting consistent leads into your business, please don’t struggle alone.
