How often do you actually take notice of a social media post from a brand? When you do notice it, what is that that makes it hold your attention? More often than not, it is because it means something to you. Here’s the top reasons why creating marketing with REAL meaning is so important.
- We want to attract our dream clients
For most of us, starting a business begins with passion. Perhaps we love doing a certain kind of work, or want to help people with a particular problem. To fuel that passion for our business, and to continue doing the work we love, we need to make sure that our content marketing is connecting with the right people we want to draw consistently into our business.
To really attract those people to us, we need to create marketing that has a deeper meaning and gives our audience so many lightbulb moments, they think we are inside their head. We can’t focus solely on posts about our services, or showing them how to do something, we need to find those deeper layers, that create connections with people, that show we understand their problems, what keeps them up at night, their passions and desires.
We also need to build a relationship, one based on shared values, beliefs or opinions, then you really start to build a rapport that will lead to great things.
- So you’re excited to do your marketing
There is nothing more demotivating than feeling like your marketing is falling on deaf ears, or that you are working really hard writing and promoting posts but you are not getting the engagement or results you want.
From my many years of working in this industry I know that if you don’t have passion behind what you are doing, you won’t show up consistently in your content marketing. You can give people all the strategies and all of the tools, but if the spark isn’t there, they still won’t really embrace their marketing.
But when you dig deep into why your business exists, why you do what you do, why it is important to you and all the other things that make it so much more than just a business, that’s when the changes start to happen.
With my clients, I really dig deep into what their mission is, purpose, values, and vision. That’s when you get the ‘aha’ moments, the passion returns, along with clarity, confidence, drive and enthusiasm. You want to tell the world what you do, and the transformations that you can create for your dream clients.
- Content creation gets easier
When you’ve connected to the deeper meaning behind your business, your big ‘why’, your purpose and passion, you naturally start creating marketing that’s meaningful (to you and your dream client).
You don’t sit for hours, picking over a post and wondering if it’s good enough to send out. You don’t sit there with writer’s block. You don’t procrastinate, or all of the other things that hold us back in our business. Instead, you find ease and flow.
Everything we do creates energy. If you’re not feeling good about your marketing, it will show. If you feel inspired and enthusiastic, it will naturally come across in your marketing and attract your dream clients to your business.
The work that I do is about making sure that you’re really aligned with what you’re doing, so you feel inspired and you’re using your intuition. This is what helps your marketing flow naturally, with ease.
- No more feast or famine!
When you are naturally embracing your content marketing, you get consistent and in return generate consistent leads for your business which gets us out of that feast and famine mode and brings consistency to our work.
When you’re not creating marketing that’s meaningful to you and your desired clients, it feels like hard work, the content isn’t great, you don’t get engagement or consistent leads but when you get get the clarity, confidence that comes from understanding your business in a deeper way, it’s so much easier to magnetise people towards you.
More often than not, my clients know that something is missing, but they can’t quite put their finger on it. So together, we pick it all apart and make it clear. Then we can change it.
When you are consistent in your marketing, you can get off that feast or famine rollercoaster! When we start creating marketing that’s meaningful, and therefore aligned with us and our desired dream clients, the consistent leads naturally roll in.
- Prevent burn-out.
Burn-out happens when we’re in this feast and famine cycle. You push for ages and you feel totally exhausted. You’re not getting the interactions that you want, you’re not getting the leads and it creates frustration. This is bad for your mental health and well-being, and it’s also potentially going to lead you to burnout.
I have been there. I’ve pushed myself, not listened to my body, working ridiculously long hours prioritising my business over my family time, and working when I was sick. This was because I wasn’t aligned to my business and my messaging and I wasn’t creating marketing that had meaning for my ideal clients. I was doing things that I thought I ‘should do’ in order to make money. Before I knew it, I was doing too much and trying to be too many things to too many people. That’s only ever going to end badly.
I cover a lot of work around mindset and goal setting with my clients, so you start learning to listen to yourself and setting goals that are based on the vision you have for your life, not somebody else’s.
I can help you look at all these things and create a plan that’s tailored to you so that you feel totally aligned and excited about working on your marketing while living the life you want. It marries all the elements of your life together.
When we are female solopreneurs, it’s not about a work/life balance. It’s about a work/life blend. So, we need to make it enjoyable! That’s the whole point of life, and that’s the whole point of running your own business.
If any of this resonates with you, then please book in for a free discovery call via the contact page of my website. We can have a conversation to see how I can help you find that alignment you need to create meaningful marketing.
